Aaron Perry has been creating art his entire life but began his journey as a painter back in middle school, inspired by watching Bob Ross’ The Joy of Painting on PBS and a supportive art teacher. Over time, this passion for art expanded when he pursued the arts in College and received a degree in Art Education from UT Martin in 2007. After graduation, he began teaching High School Art at Gibson County High School in Dyer, TN, where he taught for two years until South Gibson County High School opened in 2009, at which point he began teaching there and has served as the sole art teacher at SGCHS ever since. His art style is characterized by his love of fantasy and astronomy, which culminated in his Dreamscape Series, started in 2003 and continuing to this day.
